From 8 to 13 April 2025, GOMMAIRE proudly participated in the renowned Salone del Mobile in Milan - the world’s leading design event that brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation from across the globe. For us, this edition marked more than just a showcase. It was a celebration of Belgian design on an international stage. The event offered an opportunity to unveil new designs and ideas, while also engaging in meaningful dialogue with the global design community. It was a moment to connect, inspire and be inspired.
A first glimpse of 2026
Among the highlights was an exclusive sneak peek of our upcoming 2026 fabric collection. With bold
new prints introduced in the upholstery of new and existing designs and deco cushions, this preview gave visitors a taste of what’s to come. While the prints bring a fresh, expressive character to the collections, they remain deeply rooted in the GOMMAIRE philosophy of Organic Living, inspired by the textures, tones and patterns found in nature.
The introduction of these fabrics demonstrates how we continue to evolve - honouring our natural aesthetic while embracing subtle innovation. These bold yet balanced additions speak to an
advancing sense of comfort, warmth and individuality in contemporary interiors.

The natural power of teak
Another eye-catching debut is a larger and more robust version of the beloved Coffee Table Bamba. Crafted from striking teak root, this statement piece already drew attention for its raw, organic beauty and sculptural presence. Its increased scale brings even more character to interior and exterior settings, offering a sense of grounded elegance that perfectly complements the rest of our collections.
Also joining the teak collection is Easy Chair Sachin - a brand-new design defined by its soft, rounded forms. The seat flows effortlessly into the backrest, composed of fine wooden slats, while the front and back legs create an elegant half-circle silhouette. A custom cushion in the new 2026 fabrics follows the chair’s gentle curves through individually crafted compartments, perfectly aligning with its shape. Finished with a matching head cushion, both elements are detailed with delicate fringes, adding texture and a refined touch to this already inviting piece.

A platform for Belgian design
Participating in Salone del Mobile goes far beyond presenting products. For GOMMAIRE, it means being part of an international conversation - one where values, visions and design philosophies are exchanged freely. It is also a chance to demonstrate that Belgian design has both a place and a voice on the world stage. With its distinct aesthetic and emphasis on craftsmanship, GOMMAIRE continues to represent a uniquely Belgian approach to living naturally and enjoying every moment.
Managing Director Laurent De Greef commented: “It’s not just about showing new pieces - it’s about showing who we are and what we believe in. Events like Salone are essential for nurturing connections and keeping creativity alive across borders.”

Looking forward
As a hub of experimentation and cross-pollination, Salone del Mobile once again succeeded in energising the design industry. GOMMAIRE leaves Milan with fresh ideas, new connections, and a renewed sense of purpose. And while the fair may have ended, the conversations and inspiration continue, shaping not only what we design, but how we live.
