Our glassware is handmade, mouth-blown, and bears the original GOMMAIRE stamp or sandblasted logo. SODA glass can be compared to crystal in quality, resulting in an extremely bright appearance. Irregularities such as jagged edges, air bubbles or spiral wave lines and very small scratches are part of the handmade nature and are typical for the mouth-blown glass production process.
The Gommaire glassware can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but we do not recommend it as this will make the glass dull over time. You can slow down this process by using a glass protector or dishwasher salt. For daily cleaning or removing dust, you can use any window spray with a microfiber cloth. Light limescale stains can be removed by soaking the glasses in warm water with a cup of vinegar for 15 minutes, rinsing and wiping dry with a clean dish towel. But more stubborn stains like glass corrosion are permanent and cannot be reversed.
